Throughout the years, the Foundation has served thousands of meals to unhoused individuals, provided thousands of backpacks to school children, stocked school pantries, helped families in crisis, awarded scholarships to high school seniors with strong community service records — all here in Orange County. Your contributions help us sustain our service to some of Orange County’s communities in need and most deserving community servants.

Los Ninos de la Calle con Wendy, Inc. was formed in memory of Wendy Trujillo, a remarkable young Orange County educator and humanitarian. We have carried on Wendy’s work since 2005. We provide meals to homeless children and families. We also give backpacks to needy school children, scholarships to graduating high school seniors with outstanding community service, rescue care for families/ individuals in crisis, holiday food baskets, among other efforts. The foundation grows community service in others by providing an initial volunteer experience for many young people and a community partnership for small and large businesses ready to help us with our work.

All of the funds received by our Foundation from all sources are used for the food and other materials provided the communities we serve. Administrative costs and services are donated by Foundation Board members. No one is compensated or reimbursed.

We thank you more than words can express for your support of our mission. With your generous assistance we will reach out to even more children and families in need in the months ahead.

The foundation also provides support across the boarder. Whether it be by cooking meals, cleaning, and visiting the elderly residents at the Casa de Pobres Desamparados, celebrating the Day of the Child with orphan children, providing impoverished families with food baskets, or supporting the youth in continuing their higher education through scholarships.
